Since 2022, the Hermosa Beach Triathlon presented by Libertana has partnered with Sophia’s Buddies Foundation, a charitable cause very dear to our hearts.
Founded by her parents in memory of Sophia, who fought stage 4 neuroblastoma for more than half her lifetime before becoming an angel at the age of four, the Foundation’s mission is to raise funds to help support families and hospitals, and to spread awareness through local communities regarding childhood cancer.
Thanks to our athletes and sponsors, we have raised nearly $30,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research with Sophia’s Buddies!
This year we are offering great incentives to support this cause!
– Raise a minimum of $100 and receive 1 Free Mimosa in Hermosa on race day
– Raise $500 and receive an Xterra Wetsuit
– Raise $2500 and receive an early swim start
– The top fundraiser will receive a private chef experience featuring a 4 course meal for 4 prepared by former Ojai Valley Inn chef Steve Faulkner at the winner’s home! *Limited to Ventura and LA County residents
